Die hard Tupac fan, Boosie Badazz, has responded back to T-Pain claiming Tupac would have gotten “ate the f***up lyrically” if he were alive today.
Recently T-Pain appeared on Akademiks Twitch stream where the autotune artist took shots at Tupac. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but many felt T-Pan went a bit too far given the fact Tupac is considered one of the greatest rappers of all time.
“Lyricism-wise, ‘Pac would’ve got ridiculously murdered, because there’s ni**as out here for real. Bro, ‘Pac was a crazy lyricist in our time because ain’t nobody else have no platform,” T-Pain said on the live stream. “If the platforms would’ve been what they are now, ‘Pac would’ve been ate the f**k up. I’m just saying what we look at as ‘Pac’s greatest lyrics right is peanuts to what we hear today.”
Boosie Badazz was not letting those comments about Tupac slide. Going on his Twitter account Boosie tweeted, “2Pac was a great lyricist ‼️U probably wouldn’t understand him if u never been through the struggles that this world brings‼️ @TPAIN I disagree ✅the lyrics n songs these days last a couple years n there gone because they don’t have meaning .The lyrics don’t touch your heart.”
T-Pain also claimed many in today’s social media era would have been ready to go against the vocal Tupac Shakur. Boosie on the other hand disagrees. “I dont like when y’all sh*t on 2Pac.If he was living YALL wouldn’t step r talk about PAC n then death row ni**as‼️,” he tweeted. “Why PAC music still hittin n yo favorite lyricist Not?”
E.D.I. Mean of the Outlawz also chimed in when he commented on a fan Instagram account highlighting Tupac’s “Rhyme Scheme.” “But remember we wasn’t “lyrical” 😂,” the Outlawz member wrote referring to Tupac’s ‘Under Pressure’ song off the 1994 ‘Thug Life: Volume 1’ album.
