Justin Bieber Has Been A Tupac Fan Since He Was 8 Years Old!

Appearing on Power 106’s “Power Mornings Show,” Justin Bieber once again expressed his love and admiration for Tupac Shakur.

During the interview as Bieber promoted his new single “Honest” featuring Don Toliver, the 28-year-old was asked about a popular Tupac song. Co-host of the morning show, Letty, a huge Tupac fan herself, remembered going at it with Bieber as to who was the bigger Tupac fan. From one Tupac fan to another, Letty was curious how Tupac’s ‘Who Do U Believe In,’ connects with Bieber in 2022.

“As you know, I’ve always been a big Tupac fan,” he said. “I definitely have grown in my journey with my faith and I definitely feel like we have some similarities when it comes to just our conviction about wanting to tell people about God’s love for them.”

Bieber has always made one thing clear, Tupac is his favorite artist. In fact, Bieber has been rapping Tupac’s lyrics since the age of 8-years-old. “My dad loved Tupac, so he introduced me to Tupac when I was really young,” Bieber told Angie Martinez in a 2012 interview. “I could spit a Tupac verse when I was like eight years old.”

Throughout his career, Justin Bieber has done various interviews where he rep for Tupac Shakur. Just as he did for Angie Martinez on Hot 97, a 17-year-old Bieber rapped Tupac’s lyrics on The Breakfast Club. Bieber also explained why Tupac is his favorite rapper. “I know we’re in New York right now, I love Biggie don’t get me wrong, but ‘Pac was for me, he talked about real stuff,” Bieber explained when asked who his favorite rapper is. “He was just inspiring.”

Bieber would once again rap to Tupac’s ‘Thugz Mansion’ in 2016. This time around Justin Bieber covered the posthumous release in his Live Lounge for BBC Radio 1.
