Suge Knight From Prison Shares Rare Tupac Stories

In an exclusive rare interview, Suge Knight behind bars appeared on Million Dollaz Worth of Game where he shared rare Tupac stories.

Over the years there has been many stories shared about Tupac from everyone that was either close to him or had the opportunity to share a few minutes with the hip hop icon. Documentaries have also touched on Tupac’s life, making it hard for anyone to share something new about Tupac twenty-five years later.

When asked by co-host Gillie Da King to share a never before heard Tupac story, Suge Knight had two for the popular podcast. Although Suge Knight has told these stories before, this time around they were a bit more detailed. “I sent a private plane, a limo to pick him up all that sh-t. He gets to the studio, I give him a briefcase with a million dollars cash in it. I give him all the jewelry,” Suge Knight recalls. The first song we ever did was ‘Ambitionz Az A Ridah.’ The hook was already on there and the track was already done. Pac goes in and starts rapping.”

“Blast me, but they didn’t finish
Didn’t diminish my powers
So now I’m back to be a motherf—ing menace, they cowards
That’s why they tried to set me up,”

Produced by Daz Dillinger, ‘Ambitionz Az A Ridah’ kicked off Tupac’s debut album on Death Row records. A double album which peaked at number one of the Billboard 200 and eventually reached Diamond status. “I couldn’t believe how good it sound,” Suge Knight continued telling his rare Tupac story. “He was like, ‘What you think?’ I’m like, ‘Ah man it’s alright. Do it again.'” Knight kept trying to test Tupac to see if he would quit. Instead Tupac kept getting better every time Suge said the song wasn’t good enough.

After the song was recorded, moments later Tupac almost passed out from drinking and smoking too much. Tupac felt the affects of consuming alcohol and weed after his system was clean for the eleven plus months he spent locked up. Suge Knight also went on to tell another rare Tupac story. This time when they almost drowned in the ocean. Shakur was determined to prove Knight he can swim better, but then things almost turned for the worst. Suge Knight would end up saving Tupac from drowning. “When I went to pick him up, all the salt water story throwing up, coming out of him. I had to carry him to where there was a pickup truck to take him to the hospital. The dude said if he wouldn’t have thrown up, he would have died,” Knight said.

Suge Knight also spoke about bailing out Tupac from prison. According to Knight it was Tupac’s ex-wife Keisha Morris who contacted Suge on behalf of Tupac. Morris and Tupac met at a nightclub when she was 20 years old. The two married two months after Tupac was in prison and the marriage quickly came to an end months later. Knight also stated that Interscope records did not want anything to do with Tupac while he was in prison.

Even when it comes to making my movie there has been so many imposters saying they have my rights, or they got the deal – that was, and is, all talk,” Knight said to Deadline. (Watch here)
