Appearing on The Daily Show along with guest host Marlon Wayans, was Omar Epps who’s embarrassing Tupac prank was revealed.
Both Omar Epps and Marlon Wayans had the pleasure of working alongside Tupac Shakur. Epps appeared in the 1992 movie Juice, where he and Tupac shared more than one iconic scene. Who can forget the infamous locker scene where Shakur who played Bishop tells Epps he’s crazy and doesn’t give a f***.
Marlon Wayans also shared the big screen with Shakur in Above The Rim, where Tupac went off script and added his own memorable moment. “For him to kick me on the floor like he did in that scene. And for me to fall and get up with that humility like I want to fight you, but you the man I’m not gonna do that. That was a great scene. People on set was like, ‘Yo what’s gonna happen?,'” Wayans said on The Breakfast Club referring to the non-scripted scene.
Just when you thought all Tupac stories had been told, Marlon Wayans shares one that would have gone viral in 2023.
“‘Pac was a funny dude. Omar was sleeping like this and ‘Pac went and took his balls and put ’em out and put ’em right near Omar’s mouth,” said guest host of The Daily Show Marlon Wayans.
“I was mad at Pac for that, though,” Epps said, surprised the story has been finally told more than 31 years later. “I was super mad. Like, ‘Yo, son, you really gonna do that?’”
Aside from the embarrassing prank that clearly upset Epps, the talented actor did share great memories with Tupac. In fact, Epps witnessed Tupac creating Brenda’s Got A Baby. “He was on a different level. He was writing his first album,” Omar Epps recalled on My Expert Opinion. “A woman had thrown her baby down the trash. We all from where we’re from, it is sad to say but that was kind of normal to us, to hear stories like that. ‘Pac was f–ked up. Like the whole day, cause it was in the newspaper in the morning. He was like, ‘I can’t believe she did that.’”
Epps continued on with his day, but for Tupac, who was disturbed and heartbroken over the story, had to express himself the best way he knew how. “By lunch time, he was like, ‘YO, O, come in the trailer.’ He started spitting this rhyme for me,” Epps explains. “He’s spitting it and I’m not catching it though. I’m listening to it, but I’m not catching it. Si months later his album comes out and I hear ‘Brenda’s Got A Baby’ and my mind was blown.”
