Tupac’s Tisha Campbell Thanksgiving Dinner Included Jada Pinkett

Tisha Campbell reveals that she once cooked Thanksgiving dinner for Tupac Shakur and Jada Pinkett Smith in Los Angeles.

Twenty-six years later since his demise, many continue to share their memories of Tupac Shakur. A majority of the stories have been told on multiple occasions, but one thing is for sure, Tupac stories always seem to make headlines.

Tisha Campbell’s recent story is no different. Appearing on The Breakfast Club, Campbell revealed her “Pam Grier” aka “PG” story. “I had a friend of mine named Berkeley and he had made me more conscious of living in the moment,” Campbell explained on TBC. “Because I would say some random stuff like, ‘Oh yeah, I made Thanksgiving dinner for Tupac.’ And he was like, ‘You just can’t say you made Thanksgiving dinner for Tupac.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, that’s not normal?'”

Co-hosts Charlamagne and Envy also agreed that the story is not normal and asked for Campbell to elaborate. “No. It was just like, me, Dwayne and he came over and we all just had…. it was in L.A.,” added Campbell.

The clip made its way all over social media, but one important part of the story was left out. Well at least this time around. Nearly six years ago, Campbell shared her Tupac Thanksgiving story when appearing on Bossip. Unlike her 2023 interview with The Breakfast Club, Campbell left out another special guest to her holiday dinner.

“It’s not really anything. Me, my husband, Jada, my friend AJ. It was Thanksgiving and I’m the only one that knew how to cook at the time,” Campbell recalled. “I made Thanksgiving dinner and he came over and we were all chilling. I think that year I messed up the turkey, but I think it was everything because I cooked very well,” said Campbell when asked what was on Tupac’s dinner plate.

Campbell’s Tupac story comes days prior to Chris Rock’s Netflix special ‘Selective Outrage,’ which took aim at Jada and Will Smith’s troubled marriage. Rock claimed that Will’s anger comes from his issues with Jada. “She hurt him more than he hurt me,” said Rock on the standup special.

Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning tend to agree, the “Tupac” problem is part of the equation. “You know how many times Will Smith had to talk about Tuapc, because of Jada,” Ebro chimed in on Hot 97’s morning show. “Like, Yo I had to talk about some dude that my wife dated before me, multiple times. To the point where people had to be like, ‘Yo, were you jealous of Tupac?'”

Indeed Will Smith was asked that question by The Breakfast Club. “F— yeah,” Will answered. “Oh my god, dude. And, that was in the early days. That was a big regret for me too, cause I could never open up to interact with ‘Pac. Cause we had a little bit of a thing, because you know they grew up together and they loved each other, but they never had a sexual relationship.”
