Hip Hop legend Warren G spoke with Fatman Scoop on IG live where he discussed going to Brooklyn and attempted to help squash the beef between Biggie Smalls and 2Pac.
The WestCoast icon recalled the time he went to Bed-Stuy in Brooklyn to meet up with Biggie Smalls and Lil Cease. This was a moment in time where the beef between Biggie and Tupac had just started – way before Biggie released his debut album ‘Ready 2 Die’ in the fall of 1994.
His intentions were clear as he headed to Brooklyn, as he wanted to find a way to squash the beef between Biggie and 2Pac. According to Warren, Biggie Smalls said he wasn’t tripping over 2Pac, but instead Pac was tripping over him.
Warren had intended to speak to Shakur about the beef, but never had a chance to do so. “It was too much, too many people in the middle,” he explained. “It was just being stirred up.”
After Shakur’s release from prison by Death Row records, Warren G ran into 2Pac only two times. The two artists had plans on recording music together, but unfortunately Warren G was not comfortable in heading to the studio to record with 2Pac. Warren’s hesitation stemmed from some of the people around Shakur that had issues with Warren G. A few days later 2Pac was gunned down in Vegas.
