NLE Choppa really believes he is Tupac reincarnated, not only in music but literally feels he was Tupac in his past life.
In his first interview ever on VLAD TV, NLE Choppa made sure to make his appearance a memorable one. VLAD TV who has the most Tupac related interview content on the entire YouTube platform, perhaps finally interviewed Tupac himself. Well according to NLE Choppa.
“I feel like I’m Tupac in my past life. I’m uncomfortable in elevators. I feel whatever you really scared of… is how you went out in your life, before your life you’re in,” explained NLE Choppa. “Every time I get in an elevator its this crazy paranoia. It be weird.”
One would assume NLE Choppa is referring to Tupac being shot 5 times in New York’s Quad Studios. On that infamous night in November of 1994, Tupac was on his way to record a song with Brooklyn rapper Lil Shawn. As Shakur entered Quad Studios and approached the elevator, he was shot 5 times. A shooting that sparked the beef between Tupac and Biggie Smalls.
“I don’t want to be killed in a shooting. I don’t want to die by a gun,” he added. Of course we all know, the world lost Tupac Shakur on September 13th 1996 after he was shot 4 times on the Vegas strip.
“I’m misunderstood . I stand out. A lot of people don’t understand me, they don’t get me,” NLE Choppa continued his reasoning as to why he is Tupac reincarnated. “I know a lot of people may think I’m crazy, but bruh I know. I know myself man.”
Choppa is a fan of Tupac Shakur and has paid tribute to the rap icon on various occasions. (View: More on NLE Choppa and Tupac) Appearing on Revolt’s “Off Top” in 2021, NLE Choppa explained how he became a huge fan of the late Tupac Shakur. “It’s really because of my pops, he was listening to a lot of Tupac,” Choppa explained. “Tupac was a big influence on me. I got him tatted right here. So I use to bump a lot of ‘Pac.”
The 19-year-old rapper would also sample Tupac’s “Picture Me Rollin” for his 2020 single “Picture Me Grappin.” In the music video, directed by NLE Choppa, “Picture Me Grapin” emulates some of 2Pac’s classic music videos and moments such as; “Hit ‘Em Up”, “I Get Around” and the infamous moment where Shakur spit at news cameras.
The tribute video premiered days after Choppa has linked with Karl Kani for a 1993 vintage throwback look. NLE Choppa took to his social media accounts where he shared photos of himself imitating similar poses as 2Pac did back in 1993. (View: NLE Choppa’s 2Pac Tribute With “Picture Me Grapin”)
Aside from being a huge Tupac fan, why else would NLE Choppa insist he is Tupac reincarnated? For Choppa, it all makes sense. “This girl did a reading on my past lives,” NLE Choppa stated referring to a palm reader.
Many fans in the comments section went on to roast VLAD and Choppa. One YouTube user said, “God damn the dude who solved Tupacs murder interviewing Tupac reincarnated 😂 F**kin ridiculous but a needed laugh” and another commented “After years of interviewing people close to PAC Vlad is finally interviewing him.” Another top comment on the video read, “I can guarantee you that if Pac knew he was going to reincarnate as this dude he never would’ve got killed that night.”
