Treach of Naughty By Nature appeared on The Fat Joe Show where he spoke about meeting Biggie Smalls through 2Pac and how he was given the greenlight to tour with Bad Boy Records.

“Pac introduced me to BIG, so BIG became my brother soon as Pac introduced me to him,” Treach explained during his IG live interview with Fat Joe. “I’m looking to the point like I can’t wait to get these two to sit down. Cause I’ve been talking to them separate. When get them both down, its gonna be gravy.”

Although at the time 2Pac was not trying to hear about any truce with Biggie Smalls, he didn’t hate on Treach for linking up with Bad Boy Records for an opportunity. “He was like, ‘You better get on that tour. Get that money’,” Treach recalls.

The two Hip Hop icons exchanged their first memories of when they felt the beef was headed for a wrong turn. “I knew it was gonna be a problem when I seen Vibe Magazine and I seen Puff and BIG on the cover and it said East Vs West,” Treach said referring to the September 1996 edition of the Quincy Jones founded print giant.

For Fat Joe he recalls watching Biggie performing live along with Junior M.A.F.I.A. when out of nowhere an individual passes long the crowd blasting Hit ‘Em up. “One dude comes walking past me in Harlem,” Fat Joe said. “He had a boom box and he was playing ‘That’s why I (screwed) your…'” At this point Fat Joe realized it wasn’t just East Vs West, there were 2Pac supporters in New York.
