Major Tupac Rumor Denounced By Maino and EDI Mean
Hip hop artists, EDI Mean and Maino, have respectively come out publicly denouncing a major rumor concerning the late great, Tupac Shakur.
This week millions around the globe will pay tribute to Tupac Shakur who was tragically gunned down 28 years ago. Since then Shakur has been on the news and a hot topic just about every month. From movies to unreleased music, countless awards have all kept Tupac’s memory alive. Not to mention rumors of him possibly being alive.
With that being said, there is another rumor which was addressed recently by two New York born rappers. Back in 1994 Tupac was sentenced to 4 and a half years in prison. Those who were at odds with Shakur attempted to tarnish his name and decided to spread rumors involving the alleged rape incident. Tupac himself addressed such rumors and clearly stated that such claims were inaccurate.
The rumor took on new life back in 2017 when director John Singleton allegedly was fired from the biopic, All Eyez On Me. The late movie director was allegedly persistent in adding a Tupac rape scene in the movie. A decision which angered loved ones.
Fast forward to 2024, an alleged audio of Suge Knight claiming the rape incident is indeed factual has been discussed. New York rapper Maino denounced such claims when appearing on VLAD TV.
“I was in state prison, in New York state prison when ‘Pac came through. I was still there,” explained Maino. “If Tupac would have been rapped as high profile as he was, that s*** would have been circulating around the state. Do you understand?”
During the interview, Vlad claimed he had heard the Suge Knight audio. EDI Mean of the Outlawz, a friend of Vlad, is not buying it. Addressing the rape rumors, EDI also praised Maino.
“With AI and this s*** going on I don’t believe none of that. I don’t believe Suge would say that. Did ya’ll hear him say that. Suge knew Tupac. Like I said, if you know Tupac, you know that s*** is not possible. Not at all,” said EDI on Talk My Truth.
“If you know Tupac Shakur, like I know and knew him, there’s not an ounce of anything in that man’s spirit that would allow to happen,” added the Outlawz member. “I just feel certain things are so prosperous that they can’t go and have a life shelf with me walking around. Without me speaking on it.”
After premiering Talk My Truth on his channel, EDI MEAN TV, the hope dealer himself has touched on various topics involving Tupac Shakur. Talk My Truth has also given EDI a platform where he can reflect on the good times and also address any rumors, such as he did on the latest installment.
