Tupac Is Drake’s Most Listened To Artist On Spotify

Drake shares his “Spotify Wrapped” numbers which features the great Tupac Shakur, putting Drizzy in an elite category.

According to Spotify’s year-end numbers, Drake spent 246 minutes listening to Tupac in 2022. This comes as no surprise. Drake has shown his appreciation for Tupac over the years.

“If there was anybody that I wish I could be a little more like, it’d probably be ‘Pac,” Drizzy said back in 2011. “I think more than anything, aside from his music, which was absolutely incredible, I think he just drove people with who he was, the way he carried himself. He was somebody who was a free spirit and he did not care, he just did what he felt. I wish I could have a little more ‘Pac to my persona. I’m working on it.”

Years later in 2019, Drake paid homage to Tupac and his Birdie character from the movie ‘Above The Rim‘. In the movie Tupac is seen courtside, wearing a ‘100 Miles‘ hoodie. The brand was designed by Garie Adamson, founder of the Canadian based clothing line.

Drake would end up wearing the hoodie at the Raptors game in which they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks to advance to the NBA Finals. A finals that the Raptors would win and take home their very first championship.

And, who can forget, Drake’s twin Jesus pieces of Tupac Shakur worth $600K. The two incredible pieces were created at the L.A. location in the iconic Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Jason via Instagram thanked Drake for the opportunity, “Thank you @champagnepapi for trusting us with this project. Unbelievable honor to help pay homage to the legend Tupac Shakur.”

As shared by Drake on his Instagram Thursday morning (December 1), Drizzy is listed in the top 7% of listeners for the hip hop icon according to Spotify. Tupac’s comrades, the Outlawz, also shared their “Spotify Wrapped” for 2022, which also featured Tupac. Their 1999 hit single “Baby Don’t Cry (Keep Ya Head Up 2)” was the most shared lyrics from their catalog.
